I love to browse Dollar Tree. It's one of my favorite places to visit when I feel the need to create but don't really have a plan as to what I want to do, especially around the holidays. There are so many great little products there that it's easy to make a cheap and easy holiday craft for very little stress and money.
How can you beat that?
But Dear Dollar Tree, can I please ask you to stop "not carrying" my new found favorite products? It's like a conspiracy. Every time I find a product that I can see so many great uses for, my Dollar Tree stops carrying it. It's driving me crazy.
I think I went to my store 20 times in the past month waiting for them to get the plastic containers I needed for these Halloween Tombstone free printables. And nothing. I was about to give up, until I stumbled upon them this weekend.
So now I get to share this fun and easy free printable for a Halloween candy box.
To make these you'll need:
Halloween Tombstone Rest in Pieces free printable from the bottom of the page
Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Candies*
Square Dollar Tree containers (found in the plastic container aisle)
Xyron Create-a-Sticker Machine* or Avery Sticker Project Paper* or Scotch Permanent Double Sided Tape*
a pair of scissors.
Print out the Rest in Pieces printable from the bottom of the page. There are many ways you can stick your printable to your candy box and the choice is up to you using the tools you have available to you.
If you are using the Avery Sticker Project Paper*, then print the printable onto the paper and cut out around the dark lines.
If you are using the Xyron Create-a-Sticker Machine*, print the tombstones onto any type of paper. Cut the tombstones out using your scissors and run it through the machine to turn it into a permanent sticker.
If you'd rather just use Scotch Permanent Double Sided Tape*, print the tombstones onto card stock and cut out around the rounded edges of the design.
Which ever way you choose, stick your printable sticker onto the lid of the Dollar Tree square plastic containers.
Fill your plastic containers with Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Candies*. I found they looked pretty full with 1.5 ounces in each container. (That should work as a starting point to help you to figure out how much candy you need to fill however many containers you need.)
